Graduate Students

Congratulations and welcome to York University! Since this isn’t your first year at university, graduate orientation is a bit more condensed, but we encourage all new graduate students to attend, get familiar with your new surroundings and connect with the students and faculty you’ll study and research alongside in the coming years.

Graduate Orientation

The Faculty of Graduate Studies hosts an orientation session at the start of each Fall term for new York graduate students to meet other students, get tips on how to succeed, and learn about the variety of resources, services and facilities provided at York.

Program Orientations

Individual graduate programs host program-specific orientation sessions at the start of each Fall term for new York graduate students. These sessions are a great opportunity to meet new colleagues, get tips on how to succeed and progress through your program, and learn about the variety of resources, services and facilities provided at York.

Please contact your Graduate Program Assistant for more details on your program-specific orientation. Program offices typically send out invitations via email in the summer.

Family Care on Campus

York University has two daycare centres on the Keele campus. The York University Co-op Daycare is a full-time, licensed daycare. The Lee Wiggins Childcare Centre offers full-time and part-time licensed daycare. If you're seeking daycare for the Fall/Winter period, contact the daycares for registration information.
